• 3:30 PM Industry construction, trades & mining (Construction and Extraction Occupations) Reference number S_174701 Job details The Interior Finisher performs skilled work in preparing surfaces for painting and applying various types of paint to interiors, exteriors, equipment, and fixtures using brush or spray applications.

This role also supports finish carpentry work including cabinets, trim, and door installation.

Responsibilities:

• Trim rough edges from walls to maintain even joints; fit and fasten wallboard or sheetrock into position
• Measure and mark cutting lines on framing and trim
• Assemble and install decorative trim for windows, doorways, and vents
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine installation methods and material requirements
• Cut metal or wood framing, angle iron, channel iron, and trim to size
• Inspect surfaces for plumbness and level using appropriate tools
• Attach framing using screws or powder-actuated fasteners
• Frame openings for mechanical and structural requirements per drawings
• Install door jambs, access panels, and ceiling systems (grid, black iron, etc.)
• Install drywall, sheathing, or cement board per specifications and building codes
• Apply flashing at windows and doors; complete fire and sound caulking as required
• Complete additional duties as assigned Working hours: 7:00 AM
• 3:30

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in construction, carpentry, or finishing work

Education:

No Degree Required Experience:

1-4 years

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in construction, carpentry, or finishing work
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong commitment to safety practices
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours
• Manual dexterity and coordination
