In this energetic position, you'll be responsible for finishing drywall surfaces to create smooth, flawless walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Duties Apply joint compound, tape, and finishing materials to drywall seams, corners, and surfaces with precision and attention to detail Sand and smooth finished drywall surfaces to achieve a polished appearance ready for painting or other finishes Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute finishing tasks Collaborate with carpenters, plasterers, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of drywall with framing, trim, and fixtures Prepare surfaces by cleaning, patching holes, and addressing imperfections before finishing processes begin Assist in the installation of drywall panels on metal or wood studs, including hanging and securing drywall sheets Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites Skills Strong knowledge of drywall finishing techniques including taping, mudding, sanding, painting and texturing up to a LEVEL 5 Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate project execution Skilled in related trades such as plastering, carpentry (including trim carpentry and door hanging), masonry, flooring installation, and tile laying Familiarity with construction estimating processes and site safety standards Ability to perform construction plumbing tasks like fixture installation or water damage restoration when needed Hands-on experience with metal stud framing, stucco application, caulking, airless paint spraying, mold remediation, remodeling projects, and water damage restoration is highly desirable Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes on every project Join us if you're passionate about construction craftsmanship and eager to contribute your skills to diverse projects.
