This position is responsible for preparing surfaces, repairing drywall, applying paint and coatings, and delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining a safe and professional work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, customer-focused, and committed to producing exceptional results that exceed client expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Drywall Repair & Installation
- Repair drywall damage including holes, cracks, water damage, dents, and stress fractures.
- Patch, tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall surfaces to paint-ready standards.
- Install and replace drywall panels as required.
- Perform minor framing repairs related to drywall installations. Painting Services
- Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, caulking, patching, masking, and priming.
- Apply paints, stains, sealers, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
- Perform interior and exterior painting projects.
- Ensure clean lines, uniform finishes, and professional-quality workmanship.
- Conduct final touch-ups and quality inspections before project completion. Job Site Responsibilities
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Protect customer property, furnishings, flooring, and landscaping.
- Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment safely.
- Complete daily work orders and project documentation using company-provided tablet or mobile device.
- Communicate project status, concerns, and material needs to supervisors.
- Follow company safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Customer Service
- Interact professionally with residents, tenants, property managers, and clients.
- Represent Paint Brothers in a positive and professional manner.
- Address customer questions courteously and escalate concerns when appropriate. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of professional painting and drywall experience.
- Ability to perform drywall finishing and texture matching.
- Experience with interior and exterior painting applications.
- Ability to operate painting equipment including airless sprayers.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality. Preferred Qualifications Experience in multifamily, residential maintenance, or commercial painting.
- Knowledge of drywall hanging and finishing techniques.
- OSHA 10 Certification.
- Lift certification or ladder safety training.
- Experience using digital work order systems and tablets. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and reach overhead for extended periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, and aerial equipment.
Work Environment Residential properties, apartment communities, commercial buildings, occupied and vacant units, interior and exterior job sites. Equipment Used Airless paint sprayers, brushes and rollers, drywall finishing tools, power sanders, ladders and scaffolding, tablet/iPad for work orders and communication, hand and power tools.
