Electrical Apprentice

Job Summary:

The Electrical Service Apprentice / Helper will assist Service Technicians on various electrical projects assigned by Supervisor or Service Coordinator.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist with the installation of various electrical systems, both indoor and outdoor. Perform duties assigned by the Service Tech or Supervisor in a timely manner. Help with Install wiring in residential homes and commercial buildings Follow all safety procedures. Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and ladders. Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout workday.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn the trade. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned job site throughout the greater Orlando area. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English. Must be able to pass a full background check, drug test and DMV Must be able to work 40 hours a week, including overtime if required.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous electrical experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

Physically able to work with heavy tools and equipment at heights. Must be able to lift 60 pounds at a time to carry heavy cable. Work in confined attic or crawl spaces. This is an hourly position requiring the employee to record the working hours on a personal smart phone app.
