Electrician Helper J&J Electrical Contractors Miami, FL Job Details Temp-to-hire | Full-time From $15 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Driver's License Construction site experience Attention to detail Power tools Hand tools Full Job Description Job Summary J&J Electrical Contractors is seeking a motivated and dependable Electrician Helper to assist our electricians with residential and commercial electrical installations, maintenance, and service work. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the electrical trade while gaining hands-on experience in the field. The ideal candidate is hardworking, eager to learn, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Duties Assist electricians with installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems. Load, unload, organize, and transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites. Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit under the supervision of a licensed electrician. Pull wire and assist with installing electrical devices, lighting fixtures, panels, and other electrical equipment. Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely. Assist with reading basic blueprints, layouts, and wiring diagrams. Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion. Qualifications Previous construction or electrical experience is preferred but not required. Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and take direction. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work. Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in various indoor and outdoor environments. Reliable transportation to job sites. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Requirements Must provide and maintain their own basic electrician hand tools required for daily service work. Valid driver's license required. Basic English communication skills are preferred. Fluency in English is not required; however, candidates should have a basic understanding of English to communicate on the job. Must be willing to work evenings, after-hours, and occasional overtime as needed to meet customer and project demands.
