Electrical Instructor Hoosier Trade School - 5.0 Indianapolis, IN Job Details Part-time $38 - $42 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Practical exercises Electrical wiring Organizational skills Time management Full Job Description Role Description This is a part-time, on-site position for an Electrical Instructor located in Indianapolis, IN. This position is afternoon hours (12-5). The Electrical Instructor will deliver high-quality instruction in various electrical topics, including safety protocols, wiring, troubleshooting, and industry best practices. Responsibilities include supervising hands-on training in workshops, mentoring students, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Additional duties may involve evaluating student progress, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with school and industry standards. Qualifications Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, circuits, and troubleshooting techniques with 6+ years of experience Experience in teaching or training with a focus on hands-on learning and shop-based instruction Ability to create lesson plans, assess student learning outcomes, and provide constructive feedback Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills Professional experience in the electrical trade and relevant certifications (e.g., journeyman or master electrician license preferred) Proficiency in safety compliance and OSHA regulations Associate or Bachelor's degree in Education (not required), Electrical Engineering, NCCER Certification or a related credentials in the field a plus Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment Hours Part-Time;
Afternoon Hours, Monday-Friday Pay:
$38.00 - $42.00 per hour
