Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrician Helper to join our dynamic construction and electrical installation team. In this role, you will assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and residential projects. Your energy and eagerness to learn will contribute to the successful completion of complex electrical work, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on every job site. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop hands-on skills in electrical trade practices while working alongside experienced professionals. Responsibilities Support licensed electricians by preparing work areas, including setting up scaffolding, ladders, and tools needed for electrical tasks Assist with installing wiring, conduit, outlets, switches, and panels according to schematics and blueprints Use hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and power tools to perform basic electrical tasks Read and interpret construction blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to aid in accurate installation Help with troubleshooting low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems using testing devices like ohmmeters and multimeters Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols outlined by NEC (National Electrical Code) standards Support the team in conducting inspections of electrical components on construction sites to ensure compliance with specifications Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment by performing general housekeeping duties, including sweeping floors, removing trash, organizing materials and inventory, and ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored. Assist with shop organization and maintenance tasks as needed to support daily operations and uphold company standards for cleanliness and efficiency. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of company vehicles and job sites by ensuring all required materials, tools, and equipment are properly loaded and secured before departing job sites, and removed, organized, and cleaned at the end of each workday. On job sites, assist electricians by keeping work areas clean and safe, collecting and organizing tools, sweeping and removing debris, separating recyclable materials such as wire from general waste, and leaving each work area in a clean and professional condition. Qualifications Prior experience working as an electrician helper or apprentice in residential or commercial settings is preferred Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical equipment is essential Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction site procedures is highly desirable Experience with low-voltage and high-voltage systems is a plus Ability to work safely at heights and around construction environments involving frame carpentry or other trades Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills Willingness to learn new skills related to NEC standards, schematics interpretation, and electrical troubleshooting Valid driver's license is required Join us if you're eager to grow your career in the electrical trade!
