PLEASE UPLOAD TEXAS DRIVER LICENSE
REQUIRED A valid Texas Driver's License and an acceptable driving record. Over one (1) year of related experience; and knowledge of a specialized field such as electrical repairs.
PREFERRED
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required, in English;
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Assists the electrician assigned to a specific work area. Strives constantly to promote the safety, health, and comfort of the students and employees. Assists in the performance of electrical work and repair work assigned while maintaining a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency. Gathers tools and supplies to be used at work site. Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit. Drills holes for wiring and pulls or pushed wiring through opening. Traces out short circuits in wiring. Assists in lifting, positioning, and fastening object such as wiring, conduit, and motors. Performs minor repairs such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches. Maintains tools and equipment and keeps supplies and parts in order. Disassembles defective electrical equipment, replaces defective or worn parts, and reassembles equipment. Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Performs other routine duties. Drives District vehicles to and from work site; obeys traffic laws at all times. Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties. Maintains confidentiality.

Maintains a high level of ethical behavior as is expected of all District employees. Maintains professional growth by attending inservices and meetings, as requested/required. Position may require overtime and will respond to service calls in a timely manner while serving on-call duty as necessary to maintain function of District facilities. Must perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance preventions before and after trips. Performs any other maintenance trades duties as assigned by Supervisor/Director.
