DOE ($21 - $25/hr) Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational skills in electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair across commercial and industrial settings. As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work closely with assigned Lead Electrician for a two man crew, where the ability to learn best practices, adhere to safety protocols, and contribute to the successful completion of various electrical projects is offered. Your enthusiasm for learning and commitment to safety will be key drivers of your success in this role. Responsibilities Assist Lead electrician with aspects of electrical systems installation, wiring, conduit bending, cable tray installation, motor wiring, branch circuit installations, disconnects, control panels, tie-ins, grounding, terminations and testing. Help stage materials, maintain tools, and keep work area organized. Support the setup and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards. Use hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to troubleshoot and verify electrical circuits. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately for project execution. Follow strict electrical safety procedures and safety protocol adherence during all tasks on construction sites or facilities. Aid in the installation of low voltage systems and other specialized electrical components as directed by Lead Electrician. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections conducted, and safety checks completed. Cleans/maintains company vehicle, tools and associated equipment. Requirements 1-2 years oil & gas and/or Industrial electrician apprentice/helper experience required. High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Knowledge in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, conduit benders, and other essential electrical equipment safely and effectively. Knowledge of electrical wiring techniques and electrical systems installation procedures. Experience working oil & gas facility or industrial sites in environments requiring adherence to strict safety protocols. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on electrical safety procedures and low voltage systems. Ability to respect and adhere to all assignments, instruction and mentoring from Electrical Lead.
