Job Description

About the
Role:
Skillforce is seeking Electrician Apprentices for various projects in the DMV areas. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of commercial experience.
Pay Range:
$26-28 per hour, depending on experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Basic understanding of electrical components, circuitry, and installation techniques. Understanding of installing, bending, and assembling conduit, as well as pulling and connecting wire. Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision. Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Must have reliable transportation. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience or coursework in electrical work or related fields. Enrollment or willingness to enroll in an accredited electrical apprenticeship program. Familiarity with hand and power tools used in electrical work. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist experienced electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical codes to ensure proper installation and compliance. Perform basic electrical tasks such as measuring, cutting, bending, and threading conduit and wiring under supervision. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and using personal protective equipment. Participate in on-the-job training and attend related classroom instruction to develop technical knowledge and skills.
