  • Job Title:
    Licensed Journeyman Electrician
  • Location - Cedar Rapids, Iowa
  • Job Description
  • As a Licensed Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, termination, and commissioning of electrical systems within mission-critical data center environments.
Your role will involve performing electrical construction activities, including wire pulling, feeder installation, equipment connections, and final terminations, while ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Perform electrical terminations for power distribution equipment, switchgear, panels, transformers, and associated electrical systems.
+ Install and connect electrical wiring in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and applicable electrical codes. + Install and route feeder circuits from power distribution sources to designated equipment and end-use devices. + Pull, dress, identify, and secure electrical conductors through conduit, cable trays, and other raceway systems. + Complete final connections and equipment tie-ins for electrical systems, ensuring proper functionality and destination routing. + Verify circuit continuity, conductor identification, and termination accuracy prior to energization. + Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all project safety regulations and site-specific requirements. + Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to support project schedules and commissioning milestones. + Support startup, testing, and turnover activities for mission-critical electrical infrastructure.
  • Essential Skills
  • + Minimum of 4+ years experience in commercial or industrial electrical work. + Must have a journeyman license in Iowa or reciprocating states. + Proficiency in conduit work, wiring, electrical construction, conduit bending, and commissioning. + Experience with data center environments and wire termination.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Iowa Class A Electrical Journeyman's License or from reciprocating states (Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin, and Wyoming). + Must have held the journeyman's license from a reciprocating state for a minimum of 1 year to be eligible.

  • Work Environment

Working hours are from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Expect a minimum of 68 hours per week, with a per diem of $175 for days worked.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $64.
00 - $64.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
