About this role:
We are looking for a Service Electrician to handle a variety of residential electrical tasks. In this role, you will troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards and codes. You will diagnose issues, perform necessary repairs or replacements, and communicate effectively with homeowners to explain problems and solutions. Strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service are key to succeeding in this position. In this role, you will be responsible for: Performing residential service work by diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical systems, identifying issues, and executing repairs to restore functionality. Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers, to ensure reliable operation. Effectively communicating with customers to explain electrical problems, present repair or replacement options, and provide clear recommendations based on their needs. Handling physical demands of the job, such as pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces, and lifting heavy objects safely. Performing basic wiring tasks, including installing disconnects, whips, branch circuits, breakers, and other electrical accessories, ensuring proper connections and functionality. Utilizing a thorough knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials commonly used in the electrical trade, including their proper handling and maintenance. Applying knowledge of electrical codes and regulations to ensure all work is compliant with local, state, and national standards, and to maintain safety on the job site. Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Journeyman Electrical License
  • 3-5 years of residential electrical experience
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • A positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all organizational levels. Adaptability, flexibility, and creativity as a collaborative team player. Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills to address and resolve electrical issues. The physical ability to lift to 50 lbs. as required by the job The physical requirements of this job include: Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work. Ability to drive. Working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces. Ability to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone. Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch. The work requires regular exposure to extreme temperatures both indoors and outdoors, such as heat or cold, and adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice or snow.
