Responsible for layout, installation, and repair of shipboard cables, lighting, and electronic equipment, as well as the ship's power. Follow blueprints to construct and install instrument panels using appropriate tools. Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices. Connect power-supply circuits to fire control, sonar, radio, and other electronic equipment. Install conduit to bulkheads with brackets and screws. Thread wires through conduit to connection boxes, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, and switch panels. Use a variety of hand and power tools and testing equipment. Test voltage, resistance, and circuits using indicators and meters.
Job Requirements:
Solid understanding of shipbuilding and/or manufacturing processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to read blueprints. Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on your own. 10-Panel drug screen. Background Check no felonies Must be a U.S Citizen and provide a birth certificate or passport. #IND1
Pay:
$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 50.0 per week
