Job Description

Industrial Maintenance Electrician (PLC Specialist)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician with specialized expertise in Allen-Bradley PLC systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and programming of automated assembly lines and complex industrial equipment. You will play a critical role in minimizing downtime and ensuring the reliability and safety of our production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
PLC Programming & Troubleshooting:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain Allen-Bradley PLC systems, including ladder logic interpretation and DeviceNet network management.
Industrial Maintenance:
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on automated machinery, electrical systems, and complex assembly equipment.
Electrical Fundamentals:
Execute AC/DC power system maintenance, transformer hookups, and repairs on digital logic/ICs.
Automation & Robotics Support:
Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of robotic systems (e.g., FANUC) and sensor technology, including photoelectric, ultrasonic, proximity, and infrared sensors.
Compliance & Reliability:
Ensure all work adheres to OSHA safety regulations and company policies; maintain clean, organized documentation for all repairs and maintenance activities.
Technical Documentation:
Read and interpret complex schematics, diagrams, and technical blueprints to expedite repairs.
Continuous Improvement:
Collaborate with operations teams to identify opportunities for increasing shop floor efficiency and improving equipment reliability.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
10+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
Technical Expertise:
Proven proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLC programming (Ladder Logic) and DeviceNet Networks is required.
Skills:
Strong working knowledge of electrical fundamentals (AC/DC), sensor technologies, and robotic systems.
Certifications:
Relevant electrical or industrial certifications are highly desirable.
Safety Focus:
Deep understanding of 5S methodologies and strict adherence to OSHA safety standards.
Leadership/Soft Skills:
Ability to work in high-pressure environments, manage technical projects, and communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams.
Physical Requirements:
