Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic electrical team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, local electrical codes, and industry regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation and construction sites to industrial facilities, utilizing your technical skills and hands-on experience to deliver top-quality electrical solutions. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments, ensuring adherence to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute projects. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and work safely with low voltage systems across various applications. Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters (including ohmmeters), and other diagnostic equipment to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on complex industrial electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components. Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects, including framing carpentry and schematic reading to coordinate installation efforts effectively. Requirements Valid Journeyman Electrician license with proven experience in industrial and commercial electrical work. Demonstrated expertise in industrial electrician tasks such as high-voltage wiring, industrial electrical systems, and troubleshooting complex circuits. Strong knowledge of local electrical codes, NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 compliance standards, and blueprint reading skills. Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects within commercial or industrial settings. Proficiency with electrical diagnostics tools including multimeters (ohmmeters), power tools, and schematics interpretation. Ability to read electrical blueprints accurately and execute wiring according to specifications. Familiarity with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and high-voltage wiring practices. Commitment to following all electrical safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot diverse electrical systems efficiently. Hands-on experience with construction or handyman tasks such as framing carpentry is a plus. $24.50 - $28.00 per hour
