In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and residential sites. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, contributing to safe and efficient operations. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely on construction sites or during renovation projects. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters; identify root causes of system failures efficiently. Install and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low-voltage control systems critical for industrial automation. Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents; utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to complete projects on time while adhering to local electrical codes and regulations. Requirements Proven experience working as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings; construction site experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes. Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, testing equipment such as ohmmeters, and other electrical diagnostic devices. Experience working with high-voltage electrical wiring systems safely in diverse environments. Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems efficiently using diagnostic techniques and tools. Familiarity with industrial electrical systems—including motor controls, low voltage wiring, and automation components like PLCs—is preferred.
