Full Job Description Job Summary:
Copper Canyon Electric is seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Electrician to join our growing team in Arizona. The Commercial Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings while ensuring all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced in commercial electrical construction and service work.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial facilities including offices, retail spaces, warehouses, and industrial buildings Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of electrical systems Install electrical components including conduit, wiring, panels, switchgear, lighting, and control systems Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify electrical issues and implement effective solutions Ensure all installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Arizona regulations Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using appropriate testing devices Maintain a safe work environment and follow company safety policies and OSHA standards Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades on job sites Document work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered during projects Mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians when needed
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of commercial electrical experience and 2 years troubleshooting, 5 years total Valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and the NEC Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams Experience with conduit bending, panel installations, and commercial lighting systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety Must be able to pass a background check and work in secure facility environments
Preferred Qualifications:
Arizona Journeyman Electrician certification (preferred but not always required) OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Experience working in hospitals or other healthcare facilities is preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
