We're looking for skilled electricians who take pride in their work, understand commercial electrical systems, and want to be part of a company where quality, safety, and professionalism matter. This is a hands-on field position working alongside our Foremen and Project Managers on commercial electrical projects throughout Arizona. The ideal candidate has strong commercial construction experience and can perform electrical installations safely and efficiently with limited supervision. About Obodo Energy Obodo Energy is a rapidly growing Arizona commercial contractor performing electrical construction projects for commercial buildings, municipalities, schools, industrial facilities, and institutional clients. Our commercial electrical division performs new construction, tenant improvements, service upgrades, lighting systems, underground distribution, EV charging infrastructure, backup power systems, and other commercial electrical projects. We are building a team of professionals who value craftsmanship, accountability, safety, and long-term relationships. Position Summary The Electrician will perform commercial electrical installations under the direction of an Electrical Foreman or Project Superintendent. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical construction practices, the ability to read and work from plans and specifications, and the skills necessary to complete installations efficiently and correctly. We're looking for electricians who can be given a scope of work, understand what needs to be done, and execute it safely and professionally. Responsibilities Commercial Electrical Installation Perform a wide range of commercial electrical work, including: EMT, PVC, Rigid, and underground conduit installation Conduit layout and bending Wire pulling and cable installation Branch circuit installation Installation and termination of panelboards and distribution equipment Installation of transformers and disconnects Switchgear installation Lighting and lighting control systems Electrical service installations and upgrades Equipment rough-in and final connections EV charging equipment Backup generators and transfer switches Electrical testing and troubleshooting Project Execution Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams, and panel schedules Lay out and complete assigned work based on project plans and Foreman direction Identify potential conflicts or installation issues before they result in rework Coordinate work with other electricians and trades Maintain productivity while meeting Obodo's quality standards Assist with electrical inspections, testing, startup, and project closeout Maintain accurate field information for as-built documentation Safety Follow OSHA requirements and Obodo safety policies at all times Participate in daily safety meetings, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and toolbox talks Properly use PPE, ladders, lifts, power tools, and electrical testing equipment Identify and report unsafe conditions Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite Quality & Teamwork Perform installations in accordance with NEC, local codes, engineered drawings, and project specifications Take ownership of the quality of assigned work Work effectively with Foremen, Project Managers, General Contractors, inspectors, and other trades Assist and mentor less-experienced electricians and apprentices when appropriate Represent Obodo professionally on every jobsite Qualifications Required 4+ years of commercial electrical construction experience Strong knowledge of commercial electrical installation methods and practices Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications Strong conduit bending skills, including EMT and Rigid Experience installing commercial electrical distribution systems Experience with: Panelboards Transformers Switchgear and distribution equipment Lighting systems Branch circuits Underground electrical systems Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and installations Ability to work independently as well as part of a crew Strong communication and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license Preferred Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Experience with commercial service work and troubleshooting Experience with generators and automatic transfer switches Experience with EV charging infrastructure Experience operating scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and other construction equipment Physical Requirements Lift and carry up to 50 pounds Climb ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including Arizona heat Stand, kneel, bend, climb, crawl, and work overhead for extended periods Safely operate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and construction equipment Perform the physical duties associated with commercial electrical construction What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid holidays and Paid Time Off Professional training and development Opportunities for advancement Stable, year-round commercial electrical work Opportunity to grow with an expanding Arizona contractor Why Obodo?
