We are looking for a hands-on, experienced electrical professional who understands the requirements of telecom power installations and is comfortable working directly with PG&E standards and requirements. Required Experience Minimum 5 years of electrical experience , preferably in telecom construction Extensive experience working with PG&E Strong knowledge of PG&E Greenbook requirements and standards Experience with telecom power upgrades and electrical modifications Experience upgrading and rewiring residential/commercial service panels Experience with service upgrades, disconnects, breakers, grounding and bonding Ability to read and understand electrical plans, one-lines, PG&E sketches and construction drawings Familiarity with PG&E inspections, service connections and working through field issues Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and determine appropriate solutions in the field Comfortable working under permits and meeting applicable electrical and telecom codes Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work independently and manage electrical scope from start to finish Telecom / RF Experience The ideal candidate will also have experience on the RF side of telecom construction and be willing to assist with RF work when required.
RF experience may include:
Cell site construction Antenna and equipment installation Coax/fiber installation Cable routing and weatherproofing Equipment installation and removal Reading RF construction drawings Working safely around existing telecom equipment General cell site maintenance and construction support What We're Looking For We need someone who can think independently, troubleshoot problems and get the job done correctly without requiring constant supervision. This position is a good fit for someone who understands that telecom construction can change quickly in the field and is comfortable working with customers, utilities, inspectors, engineers, subcontractors and other trades. Strong PG&E and Greenbook knowledge is a requirement. Candidates without meaningful PG&E experience will not be considered. Responsibilities Perform telecom-related electrical installations and upgrades Complete PG&E service and power upgrades Rewire and modify existing electrical panels Install and modify breakers, disconnects, grounding and bonding systems Troubleshoot electrical and power issues Coordinate with PG&E and inspectors as needed Review plans and identify electrical issues before and during construction Ensure work complies with PG&E requirements, applicable codes and project specifications Assist with RF construction and cell site work when required Maintain a clean and safe work environment Document completed work with photos and required closeout documentation Represent High Band professionally in the field
