The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, including both high and low voltage applications, and will be adept at working on commercial construction sites. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as hands-on experience with various electrical tools and equipment. The Commercial Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial settings Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper operation of automated systems Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute installations accurately Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to complete renovation projects efficiently Ensure compliance with NEC standards and local building codes during all electrical work Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs Utilize hand tools and power tools safely while adhering to all safety protocols Experience Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician or similar role in the construction industry Strong knowledge of industrial electrician practices is preferred Familiarity with low voltage systems and high voltage installations Experience in renovation projects is a plus Ability to perform frame carpentry tasks is an advantage Previous maintenance person experience can be beneficial for this role Must possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail If you are a dedicated professional looking to contribute your expertise in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Commercial Electrician.
