- Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a California DIR-certified electrician to join our growing residential electrical team.
This is a hands-on field position for an electrician who enjoys a variety of residential work, can work independently within established job parameters, and values teamwork and professionalism. The ideal candidate has solid residential experience, takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates well, and is willing to follow company methods while sharing their expertise and recommendations when appropriate. Responsibilities (40% panel upgrades, 30% residential rewiring, 30% EVchargers/Troubleshooting/Repairs) Independently complete standard residential panel replacements within defined project scope. Perform Level 2 EV charger installations in accordance with applicable codes and company standards. Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical issues, including loss of power and breaker-related problems. Execute work from approved plans and identify conditions that fall outside the original scope. Evaluate unexpected field conditions and provide recommendations to the C-10 contractor before proceeding with out-of-scope work. Provide homeowners with technical updates regarding work progress and findings. Refer all pricing discussions, change orders, and scope modifications to the owner. Work safely and professionally in occupied homes. Coordinate effectively with the owner, office staff, inspectors, and ET trainees as assigned. Follow company instructions and established methods while discussing alternate approaches respectfully when professional judgment differs. Required Qualifications Current California DIR Residential Electrician Certification or General Electrician Certification (General Electrician Certification preferred). Minimum of 3-5 years of residential electrical experience; demonstrated competency is more important than years alone. Ability to independently perform standard residential panel replacements within established scope. Experience with residential troubleshooting and diagnostics. Experience installing Level 2 EV chargers. Ability to recognize and communicate out-of-scope conditions. Valid California driver's license. Reliable personal transportation. Ability to provide and maintain standard electrical hand tools. Physical Requirements Applicants must be able to: Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Frequently climb and work from ladders. Access attics, crawl spaces, and confined areas as needed. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Safely perform the physical demands of residential electrical work. Compensation & Benefits $35.00
00 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated competency. Full-time W-2 position.
Typical schedule:
Monday through Friday.
Start time:
8:00 a.m. at the job site for daily debrief.
Typical end time:
approximately 4:30 p.m. Weekly hours vary seasonally, generally ranging from 25-40 hours per week, averaging approximately 30 hours. Occasional Saturdays and overtime opportunities, as needed and mutually agreed upon. Eight paid holidays per year. Forty (40) hours of paid sick leave annually. Unused sick leave rolls over to PTO the following year.
