In this role, you will be responsible for installing raceways, wiring, devices & lighting systems in a large commercial project. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards (National Electrical Code), and safety procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your technical skills to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality electrical solutions. Responsibilities Install, inspect electrical systems including 480v wiring, low-voltage systems, and electrical panels in commercial and industrial environments. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects. Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify issues and ensure proper functioning of electrical systems. Ensure all work adheres strictly to local electrical codes, NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and electrical safety procedures. Collaborate with other construction trades as needed to support project completion. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including shift reports and incident logs. Assist in training apprentices or junior electricians when required to promote team development. Experience Proven experience as a journeyman electrician with a strong background in installing conduits, electrical panels & lighting. Knowledge of electrical blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams. Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills; testing equipment like ohmmeters; and power saws. Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments while maintaining safety standards. Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code), local electrical codes, and safety procedures related to electrical work.
Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
