In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical systems within industrial environments. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical equipment, contributing to the overall productivity of our manufacturing processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-voltage electrical wiring, industrial electrical systems, and automation controls in a dynamic setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adherence to safety standards, and a proactive approach to electrical maintenance. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including industrial machinery, control panels, and high-voltage wiring in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and local electrical codes. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs efficiently. Perform preventive maintenance on industrial electrical systems to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify faults within electrical circuits. Conduct electrical diagnostics on complex systems involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and automation controls to ensure seamless operation. Follow strict electrical safety procedures during all tasks to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations. Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new installation projects, including reading blueprints and adhering to construction site safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in industrial electrical systems; steel mill experience is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes. Experience working with commercial electrical systems, high-voltage wiring, low voltage systems, and industrial automation controls such as PLCs. Skilled in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams with precision. Proficient in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools including multimeters and ohmmeters. Ability to perform electrical wiring tasks safely on construction sites or industrial facilities while following all safety procedures. Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment used in electrical work. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions under pressure. Excellent understanding of electrical safety procedures and compliance requirements for industrial environments.
