In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure safety, compliance with electrical codes, and the seamless operation of electrical infrastructure. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code). Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical tasks on construction sites or renovation projects. Test electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters to identify issues related to low voltage or high voltage systems. Maintain compliance with safety standards including NEC regulations and proper handling of low voltage and high voltage systems. Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, and other trades to coordinate installation activities during renovation or new construction projects. Document work performed through detailed reports and logs, ensuring accurate records for future reference or inspections. Skills Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in various environments. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical installations. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation processes. Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers along with power tools required for electrical work. Knowledge of NEC standards and safety protocols for both low voltage and high voltage systems. Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters. Experience working on construction sites or during renovation projects with a focus on safety and precision. Familiarity with schematics related to industrial control systems and building wiring layouts. Handyman experience or general construction skills that support versatile problem-solving on-site.
