Job Description
What to Expect Tesla is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our large-scale EPC project team. You will be part of a fast-paced, exciting environment where your passion for advancing energy sustainability and tackling complex challenges will be essential. What You'll Do Collaborate with the construction team to install power distribution systems, transformers, lighting, temporary construction power, and electrical equipment up to 480 VAC Maintain and troubleshoot various electrical components Interpret and use complex electrical schematics and blueprints to plan, install, and improve electrical systems Consult manuals and read project electrical drawings to perform and plan work scopes Execute a wide variety of electrical tasks and provide timely feedback Exhibit a positive attitude and strong work ethic that reflects Tesla's mission and goals What You'll Bring Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a journeyman electrician in industrial or commercial settings Proficiency in sizing conductors and conduits and using the NEC Code Book Experience handling electrical systems from low to high voltage up to 480 VAC; medium voltage experience is a plus Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics Strong knowledge of job site safety, with the ability to evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planning, focusing on electrical hazards and safety procedures Ability to work at heights up to 80 ft.
