POSITION SUMMARY

The electrician will need to be experienced with installation, service, troubleshooting, and programming in the following areas; CCTV technician, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection. They will need a background in the installation of various security products and electronics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS

• Ability to install, trouble shoot, service, and repair low voltage systems to include access control systems from various manufacturers including phone entry systems, gate operators, card readers, door strikes and more.
• Electrical to electronic interfaces
• Running conduit, pull wire, and make electrical connections in a professional manner using wiring diagrams and/or electrical schematics
• Carry out computer networking duties, basic IP setup for system integration, programming card readers, user access databases, and access groups
• Set Up and program basic access control systems
• Detect and report defective materials, faulty operation, and unusual conditions
• Follow prescribed safety regulations
• Work with engineering and vendors on new wiring requirement for new products and systems
• Train new hires - work with apprentices

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• 2 years minimum in low voltage electrician role

LOW VOLTAGE JOURNEYMAN LICENSE REQUIRED

• Valid State Driver's License with clean driving record
• Own your own basic hand tools

$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
