What they do
An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Job Description
Job qualifications include the following:
- Ability to work independently and run small crews
- Good communication skills
- Read and interpret blue prints
- Have a strong knowledge of commercial electrical means and methods
- Positive attitude and ability to work with others
- Good Knowledge of the NEC, CEC, Title 24
- Valid California drivers license with insurable driving record
