He/She can actively lead a crew in the overall installation of projects as directed by Security leadership and management. The Security Lead Technician is a vital component to the project performing the installation of devices, running wiring, and performing basic construction needs to ensure the successful completion of client projects. He/She displays an understanding of and can enforce electrical regulations, construction requirements, as well as industry standards for the project. Responsibilities are not limited to but will include wire pulling, project prep and clean up, troubleshooting, project documentation, customer communications, and training of technicians.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures that regular and consistent communication takes place with both internal and external customers; acknowledges and addresses requests received via phone, email or company systems daily. Manages own time and resources to achieve identified objectives; is diligent in meeting all communicated/defined deadlines. Monitors and updates tickets assigned to them in company CRM. Is the primary contact for the customer while on site; communicates daily with the Foreman and/or Project Manager regarding job status. Responsible for all project documentation; enters a daily summary into company CRM regarding the status of the project installation. Will provide all final project documents timely for project close outs. Leads the crew onsite to ensure the successful installation of project components. Interprets drawings and identifies best methods for project installation. Responsible for ensuring all project materials and equipment are prepped and read to be used during the project installation. Adheres to all workplace safety expectations, regulations, standards and practices. Enters accurate time daily to project ticket assigned; providing a real time budget visual to company management. Adheres to all TRL Fleet policies and procedures; maintains both the appearance of their assigned vehicle and its inventory. Follows all inventory management procedures. Provides system troubleshooting and makes timely corrective actions to keep project moving forward. Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings and seminars as assigned for performing job duties. Any additional duties as assigned. 3+ years in construction and/or low voltage installation. 3+ years installing security equipment in a commercial environment. 2+ years in a leadership role. High School Diploma or Equivalent (required) Associates of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering Technology (preferred) Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) (preferred) Electrical Mechanic Trade School (preferred) Valid California driver license Proof of valid car insurance Manufacturer & continuing education training Must be able to work weekends, nights, split shift, and rotating shifts (if needed). Must be available to work overtime (as needed). Punctuality and regular attendance (required)Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/day, daily. Ability to drive, walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, under all temperature variations.
