The ideal candidate is a strong field leader who can manage crews, maintain schedules, coordinate with multiple trades, and proactively solve problems before they impact production. This role requires strong blueprint reading skills, jobsite leadership, communication, and administrative abilities. The Foreman will be responsible for identifying scope gaps, generating RFIs, tracking material needs, coordinating deliveries, maintaining site inventory, and identifying potential project delays early. The ideal candidate leads by example and is willing to work alongside journeymen and apprentices in the field when needed. We are looking for someone who earns respect through work ethic, knowledge, accountability, and professionalism. Experience working with general contractors, inspectors, and utility companies such as Edison/SCE is highly preferred. Responsibilities Lead and supervise electrical crews on commercial construction projects Work alongside journeymen and apprentices when needed to support production and demonstrate leadership in the field Manage day-to-day field operations while maintaining production schedules and quality standards Read and interpret current construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and electrical plans Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, superintendents, inspectors, and other trades Generate RFIs and identify drawing conflicts, missing information, and scope gaps Identify potential project delays and communicate issues proactively to management Plan manpower and workflow to maintain project schedules Order materials, track deliveries, and maintain organized on-site inventory Verify received materials against packing slips and project requirements Coordinate utility work, shutdowns, energizations, and inspections Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and local code requirements Conduct jobsite safety meetings and maintain safe work practices Maintain daily reports, timecards, production tracking, and project documentation Train, mentor, and develop apprentices and crew members Coordinate rough-in, underground, finish work, device installation, and equipment connections Maintain clean and organized work areas and electrical rooms Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of commercial electrical experience Previous Foreman or Lead Electrician experience preferred Strong experience with: Tenant Improvements (TI) Ground-up commercial construction Remodels and small projects Ability to read and understand current construction blueprints and specifications Experience generating RFIs and identifying coordination issues Strong understanding of construction scheduling and workflow management Experience working directly with: General contractors Superintendents Inspectors Vendors and suppliers Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide crews while maintaining accountability Must be willing and capable of performing hands-on electrical work alongside the crew when required Knowledge of NEC codes and OSHA safety standards Strong communication and organizational skills Reliable transportation required Must own standard electrical hand tools Ability to lift, climb ladders, and perform physical construction work Edison/SCE or utility coordination experience is a strong plus Preferred Skills Experience with material procurement and inventory tracking Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Underground and layout experience Basic computer and administrative skills for reporting and communication Experience with project documentation and field coordination Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities What We're Looking For We are looking for a dependable leader who can keep projects moving, communicate professionally, solve problems in the field, and maintain accountability for both manpower and materials. Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
