We are seeking an experienced Plant Electrician to support our aggregate and HMA facilities throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area and Marysville . The ideal candidate is a safety-focused, experienced professional with strong industrial electrical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to minimize downtime by keeping critical plant equipment operating safely and reliably. This position has an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in an upcoming plant relocation project that involves demo and reinstallation of a major aggregate production facility. Responsibilities Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Install, inspect, maintain and repair electrical systems at aggregate, asphalt and materials processing facilities. Troubleshoot and service crushers, screens, conveyors, motors, pumps, feeders, scales, asphalt plant controls, hot oil heating systems, asphalt oil pumping systems, loadout/ticketing software and other production equipment. Maintain motor controls, variable-frequency drives, switchgear, transformers, control panels and electrical distribution systems. Diagnose issues involving PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, instrumentation and plant automation. Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to improve reliability and minimize downtime. Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals and equipment specifications. Install conduit, wiring, lighting, electrical panels and related components for plant upgrades. Test electrical systems using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment. Support equipment installations, plant modifications and startup activities. Coordinate work with plant operations, maintenance personnel, contractors and vendors. Maintain accurate service records and an organized inventory of electrical parts and supplies. Identify recurring electrical issues and recommend safety, reliability and efficiency improvements. Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all company, MSHA, OSHA and applicable electrical safety requirements. Travel between plant locations and provide after-hours or emergency support as needed. Perform additional maintenance and operational duties as assigned. Requirements Preferred Qualifications Completion of an electrical apprenticeship, trade school or related technical program. Minimum 5 years' of industrial electrical maintenance experience, preferably in aggregates, asphalt, mining, manufacturing or heavy industrial operations. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 120V, 240V and 480V three-phase power. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints and technical manuals. Experience servicing crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps and other material-processing equipment at aggregate production facilities and asphalt plants. Ability to work independently, prioritize urgent repairs and communicate effectively with operations. Who Are We Looking For? Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills. Comfortable traveling between sites to include Sunol, Marysville and more. Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions and respond to after-hours or emergency maintenance needs. Benefits This position is open to union (Operating Engineers, Local 3) and non-union candidates. Detailed benefit information will be provided to candidates selected to move forward in the interview process. The hourly rate will be commensurate with experieince, with expected annual earnings ranging from $150,000-$200,000.
