An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.
The Electrician III performs advanced electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair industrial electrical systems. This position is responsible for leading electrical projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and safety standards, mentoring junior electricians, and providing technical expertise for complex electrical issues.

Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and company safety policies. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment. Install and maintain electrical conduits, wiring, panels, switchgear, transformers, and control systems. Test electrical systems using diagnostic and measurement equipment. Provide technical guidance and training to Electrician I and Electrician II staff. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, engineers, and facility personnel as necessary. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and project documentation. Respond to emergency service calls and participate in on-call rotation as required. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to electrical reliability and operational efficiency.
