Job Description

Job Title:
Solar Electrician Journeyman Reports To:
[Project Manager / Electrical Foreman / Site Supervisor]
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and licensed Residential Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot residential electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical expertise, knowledge of residential electrical systems, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Install residential electrical gear at or exceeding 600A Perform electrical wiring and conduit runs in accordance with local and national electrical codes (NEC). Plan out and Lead utility service upgrades. Includes planning out all tasks, materials, bussing connections, torque specs, and interfacing with UL inspector and Utility personnel. Procure and install residential electrical equipment and appliances. Troubleshoot residential circuits which are not functioning. Procure, install, and update conductors conduits and receptacles to NEC and CEC standards. Pull permits at building department if required. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documents. Perform takeoffs for project electrical materials Ensure system compliance with current NEC and local codes. Test system components and wiring for functionality and safety. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and apprentices on site. Complete job-related documentation, photos, and reports accurately. Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times. Mentor others and ensure safe work practices are followed. Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Qualifications:
Valid Residential Electrician License (state-specific). Minimum 5 years of residential electrical experience OSHA 30 certification. Valid driver's license with clean driving record for past 5 years Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces. Strong understanding of NEC and local electrical codes. Familiarity with EV charger installations

Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent attention to detail and workmanship. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Working Conditions:
Outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Exposure to heights, electrical currents, and construction environments. Flexible to work overtime, weekends, or travel to job sites as needed.

$45.00 - $60.00 per hour
