OVERVIEW:
- The Tool Technician 1 position requires dependability and strong attendance because tools are so important in the electrical construction trade. The position also requires a person who is willing to tinker and learn how to repair unfamiliar tools. This role is based at the Prefabrician Building in Aurora, Colorado.
- Compensation for this role: $20.00 ro $22.00 per hour.

- Identifies electrical parts and components
- Perform strenuous physical work i.e., digging, kneeling, shoveling, lifting, pulling, pushing, climbing
- Keeps up with changing technology
- Keeps up with the national electrical code
- Wears tools at all required times
- Work in all weather conditions
- Specific Responsibilities
- Remove defective or unrepairable tools from inventory
- Inspect to ensure all equipment is in safe and proper operating conditions prior to assigning/shipping to a site
- Test tools for the company ensure they are available for use on jobsites as they are needed
- Maintain tools in good working order performing preventative checks and services
- Delivering tools and equipment to jobsites on a need to basis and traveling to storage space to pick up tools needed for jobsites
- Other duties as may be assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- A functional physical is required to be completed and passed before work can be performed in all field positions.

- Lifting, floor to waist (up to 50lbs)
- Lifting, waist to overhead (up to 30lbs each arm)
- Carrying (up to 50lbs)

- Kneeling
- Trimming (final installation of electrical devices)
- Pushing (up to 100lbs)
- Pulling (up to 100lbs)
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma required along with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record and Colorado Driver's license is required. Mechanical aptitude and organizational skills preferred.
