Job Title:
Electrician Job Description This role involves working as an electrician on a large 200+ MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) prevailing wage project located in Fort Morgan, Colorado. You will perform complex electrical installations and terminations in an industrial environment, focusing on heavy terminations, underground work, and detailed wiring activities. The position requires a current electrician license in the state of Colorado and hands-on experience in industrial, large commercial, or oil and gas projects. Responsibilities Install, terminate, and test electrical systems on a large 200+ MW BESS project, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Perform heavy terminations on power and control circuits in accordance with project specifications and electrical codes. Install, route, and secure underground electrical systems, including conduit and cable, while maintaining proper depth, separation, and protection. Run, bend, and install conduit for industrial and large commercial applications, ensuring accurate alignment and secure fittings. Pull, label, and organize electrical wiring and cabling for power distribution, control systems, and equipment connections. Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to plan and execute installations accurately. Work within industrial, large commercial, or oil and gas environments and follow all applicable safety standards and procedures. Inspect completed work for compliance with electrical codes, project requirements, and quality standards. Use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment to complete installations and troubleshoot issues as needed. Collaborate with other electricians and trades on-site to coordinate work and maintain project schedules. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper handling and storage of tools, materials, and equipment. Essential Skills Current electrician license in the state of Colorado. Proven experience working on industrial, large commercial, or oil and gas electrical projects. Strong proficiency in heavy electrical terminations for power and control systems. Hands-on experience with underground electrical installations, including conduit and cable systems. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed wiring tasks in industrial or large commercial environments. Ability to bend and install conduit accurately and efficiently using appropriate tools and techniques. Solid understanding of electrical construction practices and relevant electrical codes. Capability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Experience working safely on construction and industrial sites, following established safety procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in construction-related electrical work, particularly in industrial or large commercial settings. Experience with cable installation, routing, and management on large-scale projects. Familiarity with battery energy storage systems (BESS) or similar large power infrastructure projects is beneficial. Ability to work effectively as part of a field crew on complex, schedule-driven projects. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based on a large 200+ MW BESS construction site in Fort Morgan, Colorado. You will work in an industrial field environment that may include outdoor conditions, variable weather, and active construction areas. The role involves physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and working with tools and materials throughout the day. Standard construction tools and electrical equipment, including conduit benders, cable pullers, and testing instruments, are used regularly. Work hours align with typical construction schedules and may include extended shifts depending on project needs. Appropriate construction and electrical safety attire, such as work boots, durable workwear, and personal protective equipment, is required at all times on site. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fort Morgan, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.17 - $66.33/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
