  • Responsibilities:
  • Use standard work instructions and established guidelines to assemble components on assigned programs. May include optical components, electro-optical components, or circuit card assemblies.
  • Fabricate hardware, equipment, tools or prototypes from drawing or sketches
  • Read blueprints and work from assembly drawings
  • Be a self-starter who will work independently on production assemblies and rework
  • Utilize micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, and other hand tools
  • Multi-task on a variety of technical jobs while keeping the work organized
  • Cross-train within the department to learn other skills and work processes.
  • Assist in maintaining productivity and efficiency, while meeting scheduled delivery dates and consistently upholding compliance.
  • Identify and correct minor process, material, designs, equipment issues or improvements
  • Develop the ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets in handling hazardous chemicals
Qualifications:
Required:
  • 0-3 years of basic electronic elements and circuit principles
  • Experience with assembling electro-mechanical products
  • Must be mechanically inclined with a curiosity and aptitude to learn
  • Computer proficiency with the willingness to learn new technologies
  • Ability to speak up as appropriate and escalate issues as required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of flexibility and assist others as needed
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
Desired:
  • Experience with soldering a plus.

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
