The ideal candidate will have strong electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with electrical distribution systems up to 600 volts, motor controls, VFDs, control circuitry, and building electrical systems. This position also requires the ability to assist with multi-craft facility maintenance duties as needed.

$40-$45 per hour
Shift:
Night Shift, 6:00 PM - 6:00
AM Schedule:
2-2-3 rotation
Location:
Wilton, CT Maintenance Electrician Job Responsibilities Maintain primary and secondary electrical distribution systems up to 600 volts. Troubleshoot and maintain control circuitry, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and other specialized electrical systems. Wire electrical outlets and relocate fixtures as needed. Troubleshoot lighting systems and power panels. Install electrical outlets using existing and underground raceways when applicable and required. Service and maintain batteries and transformers. Troubleshoot, maintain, test, and repair AC motor controls. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot VFD systems. Read and work from blueprints, plans, schematics, and electrical drawings. Complete assigned preventative maintenance (PM) tasks and maintain accurate records. Submit required electrician reports documenting completed work. Evaluate equipment performance and make recommendations to supervisors regarding maintenance or repairs. Respond to electrical and facility emergencies as required, including after-hours emergencies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company and customer safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices. Perform multi-craft facility maintenance duties as assigned, including basic plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance. Maintenance Electrician Qualifications High school diploma, degree, certification, or equivalent professional experience in the electrical trades. Journeyman Electrician License - E1 or E2 required. 5+ years of experience working in commercial, industrial, and/or manufacturing environments. Strong knowledge of applicable building codes, regulations, and ordinances. Ability to read, interpret, and work from plans, schematics, blueprints, and electrical drawings. Experience with AC motor controls and variable frequency drives. Experience with electrical distribution systems up to 600 volts. Prior experience estimating electrical labor, materials, and equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
