Electrician Washington, DC Pay:

$20-$30/hour

DOE Key Responsibilities:

Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with local and national electrical codes. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in industrial equipment including motors, conveyors, lighting systems, control panels, and PLCs. Perform preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and improve reliability. Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to optimize electrical operations. Document maintenance and repair work through detailed logs and reports. Participate in continuous improvement efforts and suggest ways to enhance electrical systems or safety procedures.

Qualifications:

Required:

High school diploma or GED. Valid electrician license/certification (state-specific). 3+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Proficiency with PLCs, motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and industrial automation systems. Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Anistar
