Job Title:
Electrician Job Description This role supports a recreation center remodel project, focusing on electrical installation and construction tasks. The position suits an experienced electrician who can work independently after receiving instructions and who is comfortable performing a variety of duties on an active construction site. Responsibilities Install light fixtures safely and efficiently in accordance with project plans and electrical standards. Pull electrical wire for new and existing circuits throughout the remodel project. Measure, cut, and bend conduit to specified angles and lengths to support new electrical installations. Assist in building conduit systems for the new structure, ensuring proper routing and secure installation. Interpret instructions and work independently to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and productivity on the construction site. Follow all site safety procedures, including the proper use of fall protection and boom lift equipment. Inspect tools, equipment, and materials before use to ensure they are in safe working condition. Collaborate with other trades and team members to coordinate work and meet project timelines. Essential Skills 6-8 years of experience as an electrician at a minimum apprentice to journeyman level. Ability to work independently after receiving instructions. Proficiency in light fixture installation in a construction environment. Strong skills in wire pulling for new structures and remodel projects. Proficiency in conduit bending and conduit installation. Hands-on experience in electrical construction work. Apprentice TDLR qualification. Boom lift certification. Fall protection training and proper use of fall protection equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working on remodel projects in commercial or recreational facilities. Comfort working on active construction sites with multiple trades present. Ability to read and follow instructions, plans, or layouts provided by supervisors. Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing tasks safely and correctly. Good communication skills to coordinate work with teammates and site leadership. Why Work Here? You should expect typical construction site conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and outdoor or partially enclosed work areas. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commerce, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
