Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Apprentice and kick-start your career in the electrical industry! This paid apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working alongside skilled electricians on diverse construction projects. You will develop essential skills in electrical systems, blueprint reading, and safety protocols while contributing to the successful completion of commercial and industrial electrical installations. Responsibilities Assist experienced electricians in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems on construction sites. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform wiring, conduit installation, and fixture mounting. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of electrical components. Support the setup and testing of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and verify circuit integrity. Participate in construction activities including frame carpentry as needed to prepare sites for electrical work. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Experience Previous experience with industrial or commercial electrician work is highly desirable but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical equipment is a plus. Construction site experience provides a strong foundation for understanding project workflows and safety procedures. Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams will help you quickly adapt to project requirements. Experience with low voltage systems or high voltage installations is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided. Basic understanding of NEC standards, ohmmeters, and electrical troubleshooting techniques is beneficial. A background in frame carpentry or related construction trades can be helpful in supporting various project phases.
