Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Job Description

Diagnose electrical problems using diagrams or blueprints. Install and repair electrical systems. Inspect, troubleshoot, and conduct tests. Pinpoint problems using a range of testing devices. Safely use various hand and power tools. Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Comply with all safety standards and regulations of the National Electrical Code. Must be able to work unsupervised. Supervise and train others in the installation and repair of electrical components. Must be able to lead a 1-3 person crew. Must be able to use a computer and a phone. Must have a clean driving record. Full Benefits after 90 days.
