In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems on marine vessels and related equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of electrical components in a challenging maritime environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and hands-on craftsmanship to contribute to high-quality marine operations. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, and systems on various marine vessels using schematics and technical manuals. Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation and maintenance tasks. Perform rigging, assembly, and fabrication of electrical components using hand tools, and power tools. Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure continuous operation and safety standards are met. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters to diagnose issues accurately and ensure proper system calibration. Engage in heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with marine electrical work while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with mechanical teams for integrated system troubleshooting and repairs; provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients or vessel crews regarding work progress or technical issues. Qualifications Proven service technician experience in electrical or marine environments with a strong understanding of electrical systems. Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprint reading is essential. Solid electrical experience combined with mechanical knowledge; experience with rigging, fabrication, soldering, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures applicable to marine vessels or heavy machinery is advantageous. Experience assembling electrical components or systems using precision measuring instruments such as calipers or ohmmeters. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex tasks. Strong customer service skills; capable of explaining technical issues clearly to clients or team members.
