An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Needed is a dependable individual who can multi-task with exceptional communication skills. This individual will need to be a team player. Responsibilities:
Installation of wiring, breakers, light packages, conduit, outlets, switch gears, high and medium voltage transformers, transfer switches, pipe bending, etc. Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary fixes. Follow engineering plans, drawings and instructions. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations, and maintain a safe and clean work area and tools. Various other duties as required, directed, or assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
• 1-2+ years as journeyman electrician preferred. 1-2+ years experience in manufacturing environment a plus. Knowledge of all relevant national and local electrical codes pertaining to the aforementioned tasks. Generator experience with various voltages a plus. Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications, and to perform work therefrom or from other written or verbal instruction. May be required to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards. Must pass drug test. High school diploma or equivalent. Basic reading, math, and writing skills. Attention to detail and highly motivated. Ability to communicate and work well with others. Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve. Ability to work overtime on occasion. Possess appropriate tools to perform job duties.
Physical Requirements:
May frequently lift or move heavy weight material and work in difficult positions. Frequent mental and visual attention on an intermittent basis. Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, lift, push and pull, work at heights, and in small tight spaces. Requires working under somewhat disagreeable conditions on a frequent basis where elements such as dust, dirt, heat, fumes, cold, vibration, noise, water or chemicals may be present.
