Job Description
Essential Job Functions- Converts facilities controls from outdated technology to an up-to-date SCADA (Supervisory, Control, And Data Acquisition) system Installs and repairs of electrical systems and devices in and around city buildings Tests on electrical systems and equipment; detect causes of electrical failures and malfunctions; replaces and/or repairs components Ensures compliance of electrical systems and equipment with applicable codes Reviews electrical projects for upgrades; reads and prepares electrical diagrams Maintains inventory and orders materials or services Maintains records of work performed Assists in preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) Uses and knowledgeable of digital tools and asset management systems Ensures compliance with safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and applicable electrical codes Works around medium voltage, rotating equipment and various hazardous chemicals Calculates line loading leads to determining wire and equipment size and capacity Prepares sketches for electrical layouts and installation Reads and interprets specifications, schematics, blueprints and diagrams May be required to perform "stand-by duty ", being available and responding to off-duty emergency call-ins to effect repairs to malfunctioning electrical, electronic and/or instrument systems Performs related work as required
