This role is vital in ensuring that electrical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all project specifications, codes, and standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, extensive supervision experience, and a comprehensive understanding of electrical schematics, blueprint reading, and quality control. As an energetic leader, you will coordinate with project teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure that all work progresses on schedule and within budget while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Job description:
  • Oversee installation of electrical systems from power distribution, rough in, trim, finish work, and final punch phases for commercial and/or multi-family construction projects.
  • Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and other trades to ensure all work meets project specifications, NEC, NFPA, and municipal standards.
  • Review project documents, drawings, wiring diagrams, instructional manual, and blueprints to schedule and direct field installations in alignment with project scope and schedule.
  • Lead and supervise crews through all phases of installation — rough-in, trim, equipment setting, terminations, and final testing/start-up.
  • Complete essential paperwork including daily reports, material requests, time sheets, safety reports, and incident reports.
  • Manage project-specific electrical materials, tools, and equipment assigned to the site.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures, including lockout/tag-out, confined space entry, arc-flash, and other OSHA/site-specific requirements.
  • Knowledgable of the operation and be able to supervise the use of electrical construction equipment such as wire tuggers, conduit benders, trenchers, backhoes, lifts, mini-excavators, and generators.
  • Provide leadership and keep professional communication with management, field personnel, trade contractors, vendors, inspectors, and clients.
  • Maintain flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of NEC, local building codes, industry standards, and job-site safety requirements.
  • Train and mentor employees working under your supervision to support professional growth and project success.

  • Strong background in reading blueprints, schematics, drawings, and electrical diagrams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards under OSHA guidelines.
  • Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 or Primavera is highly desirable.
  • Supervising experience that includes managing subcontractors, coordinating schedules, overseeing quality control measures, and ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards along with proficiency in using testing tools like ohmmeters for quality assurance.
