Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), and meets project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilize your technical skills, and contribute to high-quality electrical solutions that power our clients' operations. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations. Work with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and high voltage equipment to support industrial and commercial applications. Conduct routine inspections using tools such as ohmmeters to ensure electrical integrity and safety compliance. Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate electrical installations during renovation or new construction projects. Follow all safety protocols in accordance with NEC standards and local regulations while working on construction sites or in occupied facilities. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while ensuring all work is completed within project timelines. Experience Proven experience as a licensed Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial, commercial, or renovation projects. Hands-on experience working on construction sites with familiarity in framing carpentry and general handyman tasks. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Knowledge of low voltage systems, high voltage wiring practices, and NEC compliance standards. Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools including drills and saws; as well as testing equipment like ohmmeters. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrical systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with schematics interpretation for troubleshooting electrical circuits effectively. Ability to adapt quickly to different environments—whether on renovation sites or new construction projects—and work safely at heights or in confined spaces when necessary.
