An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.
We are hiring Commercial Electricians for a different project in Melbourne Pay rate is based on electrical experience and skillset. Review the information below before responding to this ad. Duties include but not limited to: Experience working with 110-480v single and three phase systems Measuring, cutting, bending, and running 1/2" 3/4" & 1" conduit (EMT, Rigid, and PVC). Terminating, running, installation of MC Wire-pulls. Reading Blueprints. Operating large pipe bending tools, both hydraulic or mechanical benders Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components Trace out short circuits in wiring, using test meter Trim-outs (Install receptacles, switches and other devices) Repair or replace wiring, equipment and fixtures Hang and wire light fixtures Drill holes and pull wire/cable through walls and ceilings Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts, and reassemble equipment Strip insulation from wire ends, connect couplings, fabricate and secure conduit support brackets Transport tools, materials, equipment, and supplies on job site by hand or hand truck Terminate circuits, breakers, bus bars, panels and sub-panels Operate scissor lift
