This role is pivotal in ensuring all electrical systems are installed, maintained, and repaired safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. As a leader on the team, you will coordinate electrical activities, mentor junior electricians, and ensure quality workmanship on every project. Your expertise will drive successful project completion while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all relevant codes and regulations. Duties Lead and supervise electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on construction sites, including commercial and industrial projects. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise electrical work. Install, troubleshoot, and repair low voltage and high voltage electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment such as ohmmeters. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within construction or renovation projects. Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code), safety standards, and local regulations; conduct regular safety inspections. Mentor junior electricians by providing guidance on technical tasks, safety procedures, and best practices in electrical work. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, schematics updates, and compliance records. Requirements Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong background in construction site environments. Extensive knowledge of electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics software, and testing devices such as ohmmeters. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used for automation processes. Experience working on renovation projects involving framing carpentry or handyman skills is a plus. Ability to read technical drawings accurately and translate them into practical installation steps. Strong understanding of NEC standards for electrical safety and wiring practices; experience with low voltage wiring is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently. Construction site experience demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced environments; familiarity with blueprint reading is required. Valid electrician's license or certification as mandated by local authorities; additional certifications in high voltage or industrial systems are advantageous.
