BMS Electrician /
Building Management System Technician Location:
Miami.
FL Employment Type:
Full-Time Contract to Hire- We are seeking an experienced BMS (Building Management System) Electrician/Technician to support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low-voltage building automation systems within commercial data center environments. This role will focus on HVAC controls, lighting systems, security integration, and energy efficiency optimization. Job Responsibilities Install and wire low-voltage building automation and control systems Install field devices including sensors, actuators, valves, and controllers Run conduit and support control panel installations Diagnose and repair faults in DDC systems, sensors, actuators, and controllers Commission and test BMS hardware and software for proper operation Perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, and system updates Support HVAC, lighting, and security system integration Maintain and troubleshoot communication protocols including BACnet and Modbus Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings Communicate technical findings and system issues with facility management teams Requirements Experience working in data center environments required Strong knowledge of electrical systems and low-voltage controls Experience with DDC controls, sensors, relays, and transducers Ability to troubleshoot building automation systems efficiently Proficient with multimeters and diagnostic tools Understanding of HVAC and building management systems Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in team environments Preferred Qualifications Experience with commercial HVAC controls and ELV systems Familiarity with BAS/BMS commissioning processes Knowledge of energy management systems and automation platforms Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply with an updated resume and relevant project experience. #IND2
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
