Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Who We Are Looking For We are seeking a reliable, safety-minded Field Electrician Installer to perform electrical installations for residential and commercial photovoltaic (solar) systems across Florida. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of hands-on electrical installation experience, a solid understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work comfortably on rooftops and at heights. While prior solar PV experience is a plus, it is not required, we provide training for skilled electricians who are eager to learn, work well in a team, and are committed to delivering high-quality, code-compliant work under OSHA and NEC standards.
Key Responsibilities Electrical Installation:
Read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering plans, and single-line diagrams. Run, bend, and install EMT, PVC, and conduit systems. Perform AC and DC wiring, install main electrical panels, subpanels, and connect circuit breakers.
System Testing & Troubleshooting:
Use multimeters, clamp meters, and electrical testing equipment to conduct insulation/continuity testing and troubleshoot complex electrical issues. Solar & Storage Integration (Training Provided): Execute PV module interconnections, install microinverters and string inverters, set up AC/DC disconnects, assemble battery storage systems, and apply proper grounding and bonding principles.
Safety & Compliance:
Maintain strict adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and safe work practices at heights. Ensure proper use and maintenance of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including fall protection harnesses, helmets, and steel-toed footwear.
Quality Assurance & Inspection:
Maintain clean, neat, and precise workmanship to ensure first-pass city, county, and utility inspection approvals.
Fleet & Equipment Operations:
Safely operate company vehicles and equipment in full compliance with company safe-driving and mobile device policies. Key Qualifications & Required Skills Certified Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, or Licensed Electrical Technician. Minimum of 3 years of proven hands-on experience in commercial or residential electrical installations. Comfortable working on rooftops, steep pitches, scaffolding, ladders, and at heights for extended periods. Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record; willing and able to travel to project sites. Basic working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety guidelines. Hands-on proficiency with standard power tools (drills, impact drivers, torque wrenches, crimping tools) and electrical meters. Safety-first mindset with high accountability, strong punctuality, and exceptional attention to detail. Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a customer-service-oriented demeanor. Solar experience is preferred but not required (comprehensive on-the-job training provided). Preferred Qualifications Active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Working knowledge of
NFPA 70E
electrical safety standards. Basic understanding of EV charger installations and solar monitoring platforms (e.g., Enphase, SolarEdge). Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a strong plus. Physical Demands & Working Conditions Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly. Ability to work outdoors in various Florida weather conditions.
