These positions will perform various skilled electrical field operations including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and projects across multiple markets. The Electrician and Helper will work together as a team and travel together in one company vehicle. Open Field Assignments We are currently hiring travel teams to support work in the following areas: Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas Indianapolis, Indiana Atlanta, Georgia Miami, Florida Candidates do not have to live in the area where they will be working. These are traveling positions, and qualified candidates should be comfortable spending extended periods in the field.
Position Expectations:
Work Schedule & Travel Work approximately 21 consecutive days, including weekends. After the 21-day work rotation, employees will travel home for approximately 1 week before returning to the field. Employees may elect to work longer than three consecutive weeks when approved, but working longer than 21 days is not the standard expectation. The Electrician and Helper will travel and work together as a two-person team in one company vehicle. Must be comfortable with overnight travel and extended stays away from home. Must be dependable and prepared to work in different markets and commercial facilities as project needs require. Traveling Electrician The Electrician will be responsible for performing skilled electrical field operations, troubleshooting, service, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and in commercial facilities. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, repair, and maintain commercial electrical systems. Properly troubleshoot and diagnose electrical equipment. Identify electrical and equipment issues and determine the appropriate corrective action. Perform electrical service and maintenance in commercial facilities, including retail, office, industrial, hospitality, and other customer locations. Perform skilled electrical field operations with support from office coordination and field supervision. Operate and maintain a bucket truck and related equipment. Travel throughout assigned markets and other areas as required. Maintain an active inventory of necessary tools, materials, supplies, and equipment. Communicate professionally with customers, field supervisors, and office personnel. Work closely with the assigned Electrical Helper and provide direction and on-the-job training. Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment. Complete work in accordance with company expectations, customer requirements, and applicable safety procedures. Electrician Qualifications Experienced commercial electrician with strong troubleshooting skills. Demonstrated ability to properly troubleshoot electrical systems. Minimum of 5 years of bucket truck/equipment hauling experience preferred. Ability and knowledge to operate and maintain a bucket truck. Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Must be computer literate. Must be a self-starter who can work independently in the field. Excellent communication skills. Valid driver's license. Ability to travel extensively and work the required 21-day rotation. Must successfully complete drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle check. Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and professional. Electrical Helper The Electrical Helper will work directly alongside the Electrician and assist with commercial electrical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, materials, equipment, and field operations. This position is intended for an individual who is motivated to learn, develop their electrical skills, and grow into a Lead/advanced field position. Responsibilities Assist the Electrician with commercial electrical service, repair, and maintenance. Assist with troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment. Learn proper troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures. Assist with installation, repair, maintenance, and service activities. Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools, equipment, materials, and supplies. Assist with bucket-truck operations and other field equipment as directed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow direction from the Electrician and Field Supervisor. Develop the knowledge and skills necessary to take on increasing responsibility in the field. Work toward becoming a Lead Technician/Lead Helper as skills and experience develop. Travel and work alongside the assigned Electrician in the same company vehicle. Helper Qualifications Previous electrical, construction, maintenance, or related field experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Must be dependable and willing to work as part of a two-person traveling team. Must be comfortable traveling and working approximately 21 consecutive days. Must have a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Must be willing and capable of developing into a Lead. Good communication skills. Valid driver's license required. Must successfully complete drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle check.
